Yesterday, I made an attempt to take some pictures, every hour, on the hour, to share with you all. I made it from 8am to 3pm and then forgot to take more.  Also, I know why I have so many pictures of my kids at the table.  It's the only time they sit still.  

Through out the course of our day I reorganized my room (I was going to have a completed room picture but that never happened), posted clothes for sale on-line, got dressed before noon, taught Naveed some education stuff, ate, was entertained by Rohk, the kids watched some tv and played outside, we decorated Naveed's room and had some fun with friends.

Did you know that Saturday is International Women's Day?  Well, if you didn't, now you do!  I only know this because it was printed on my calendar.  It got me thinking about feminism and egalitarianism and all things interesting to me.

 (This is my behind from once upon time when I used to belly dance.  I love belly dancing because it celebrates the female form.  But that is another post.)

One of my very favourite sites to visit when I am bored is the Metropolitan Museum of Art .  It is amazing.  There are thousands of items catalogued on-line and I love spending time wondering around there.  Today I will share some of the interesting things I saw there this morning.  (All were found starting here .)

They have 3 series posted on-line, abandoned theatres, Detroit and a mining island in Japan.  The abandoned theatres are so beautiful, even in their derelict state.  The pictures of Detroit were the most startling and moving to me.  All the grey in the mining town could not hold my interest so I went back to look at Detroit.

Keeping with the theme of abandoned buildings, I happened upon Kathryn Clark's foreclosure quilts a year ago.  What appeals to me the most is that they tell a story with the texture and colour of fabric.  A medium I love.

Jon has never actually done a Myers Briggs test.  I have assigned ISTP to him after living with him for so long and knowing him.  He HATES personality tests.  I find them helpful.

According to the all knowing internet, we are not a perfect match.  Which is funny because when we did pre-marital counselling, our counsellor had never met a more compatible couple.  Ha!
